Upscale and build Technical Capacity of Trainers and certify them through various forms of capacity building platforms such as those offered by BRIDGE, IFES, ICPS etc.

Build capacity of Commission Trainers (both HQ and State Trainers) to train and retrain both permanent and Ad-hoc Staff engaged by the Commission
TRAINING NIGERIANS ON ELECTORAL PROCESSES
Collects, collates and archives relevant, records, documents and materials on elections and related activities of the Commission; Undertakes the production of a bi-annual Nigerian Electoral Journal of the Electoral Institute;
Comprehensive Research on Electoral Processes
Coordinating all electoral training activities of the Commission.
Researching electoral policy and related matters and documenting electoral research findings , policies and related matters;
Contributing towards formulating regulations or guidelines governing the electoral process;
Mallam Mohammed Kudu Haruna
Mohammed Haruna was born in Ibadan, Oyo State, on September 22, 1951. He had his primary school education at Tudun Wada Junior Primary School, Kano (1957 to 1960) and Kuka Primary School, Kano (1961 to 1964). He attended Government College, Bida, his home town, between 1965 and 1969, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, between 1971 and 1975, Glasgow College of Technology, Scotland, in 1979/1980, Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in 1983/1984 and Harvard Advanced Management Programme in 1995.
Haruna was a political columnist between 1978 and 2016 in several publications including New Nigerian, Today, Trust, Nation, Gamji.com and Newsdiaryonline.
In recent years he has delivered papers on Politics, Journalism and Mass Communication as a resource person at seminars, lectures and workshops organised by universities and institutions like the Nigerian Press Council, the Nigerian Guild of Editors and the Independent National Electoral Commission.
